NEW STUDENTS
New Students!

Jenny Henderson, E-RYT500

When life gets busy, our own self-care is often the first thing we overlook or push to the end of the list.  Excuses are created and self-doubt creeps in. How often have you said “I want to start yoga, but I am too busy, or I am not flexible enough, or I am (Insert reason here)?

My passion is helping people break down the reasons and create a yoga program that meets their needs.  I help my students find mobility, greater flexibility, and strength using an alignment-based yoga style, along with myofascial tools (if needed).

I started my yoga journey over 15 years ago when life started spinning out of control.  The company I worked for was in chaos, I was involved in an unhealthy relationship, and I was slowly losing myself.  Yoga brought me back.  It gave me the tools and resources I needed to become more disciplined with what I would accept in my life.  It gave me peace, which allowed me to eat healthier, become more active and find myself again.

As a Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT) through Yoga Alliance, I continue to expand my yoga knowledge with workshops and educational events all over the country.  In addition to my RTY, I also hold a certification from RAD as a Yoga Mobility and Recovery Specialist, as well as a certification in Trauma Informed Yoga and Family Yoga.

I like to mix a little laughter and fun into my classes while helping my students cultivate discipline, strength, and awareness.  Alignment and balance, both physical and mental, are the foundation of my practice and teaching.  I offer group classes, small groups, corporate programs, and individual programs, all available virtual or in person.

I live in Springboro with my spirited yogi daughter and our two blue heelers.  You will often find us in our many city parks or hiking in our free time.

Any change we want to make in the mind must happen in tandem with the body. That is my yoga philosophy. I began practicing yoga in 2001 at a local YMCA and was immediately hooked. I loved what yoga did for my body, but even more, I loved what it did for my mind. Balancing single motherhood, a full-time job, and graduate school all at once had me stressed beyond measure. I craved the stillness of my yoga practice. I soon fell into the rhythm that exists between body and mind. I believe if one can control their breath, one can control everything. What I mean by that is we have the ability to use our breath to slow our physiological responses to stressors and choose how to respond to them instead of simply reacting. I received my 200-hour yoga instructor certification in 2010, and in 2021 I added certifications in emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and meditation coaching to bring a fully holistic approach to my yoga practice. When not on my yoga mat you can find me in the kitchen creating nourishing meals or walking on the treadmill while listening to a good book. I live in Springboro with my husband, cat, and dog.

Alicia Donovan Brainerd

I'm Alicia, and my yoga journey began in the late 90s—picture flared yoga pants, a tie-dye tank top, and maybe even a beaded mala necklace. Those early days of exploring yoga were a mix of finding my balance on the mat and embracing the free-spirited vibe of the era. Since then, my passion for this practice has only deepened, leading me to become an E-RYT® 500 certified teacher.

As a certified Search Inside Yourself (SIY) teacher, I'm also passionate about helping you cultivate emotional intelligence and well-being through mindfulness. But back to yoga! My classes are a blend of everything I've gathered over the years—from the grounding energy of yin yoga to the restorative flow of gentle practices, all the way to the quiet stillness of meditation. I want to help you tap into your inner wisdom, find your center, and maybe even unleash your inner rockstar. It doesn't matter if you're new to this whole yoga thing or a seasoned pro—come as you are. My classes are a safe space for everyone.

When I'm not on the mat, you'll probably find me hanging out with my spouse and our adorable fur baby. We love exploring everything Centerville has to offer. So come join me and let's dive deep into the transformative power of yoga together. It's more than just poses—it's a journey of self-discovery, and I can't wait to share it with you!

Ginger Snyder

My name is Ginger Snyder, and I’m a Reiki Master, Shamanic Practitioner, and Yoga Instructor. I specialize in helping individuals release stored trauma from the body and heal the subconscious mind. My path to this work began seven years ago as I sought alternative ways to heal from my own experiences with childhood trauma, unhealthy relationships, and the challenges of depression, anxiety, and addiction.

My mission is to guide others in reclaiming their power and living the fulfilling, aligned life you’re meant to.

Why Bodywork, Yoga, Reiki, and Shamanic Healing Are Essential Additions to Therapy

Therapy brings awareness to the root of your struggles, spinning the issues into your conscious awareness. However, it often doesn’t address the energy stored in your tissues or the patterns held in your energy field.

Through practices like Shamanic Healing, Reiki, and bodywork, that trapped energy can be released, helping you heal deeply and completely. These modalities work to move the energy up and out, allowing your body and mind to find balance and wholeness.

Giulio Berlonghi

I have consistently sought ways to contribute to the improvement of my surroundings by seeking new paths that empower discovery, personal development, balance and purpose.  My background includes expertise in the accounting profession, the public service sector, taxation and accounting instruction, and as a creative writer.

I took my first yoga class at Indigo Yoga of Dayton in December of 2015. I started out slowly and by the end of 2016 was hooked on the feeling of well-being my time on-the-mat gives me. I have continued my yoga practice to achieve a higher level of physical energy to support my desire to contribute more of whatever it is I can offer. In September of 2023 this very desire led me to enroll in the advanced 500 hour yoga teacher training (TT) program at Indigo, which I completed April 2025.

Hannah Wathen

As a lover of all things wellness, I discovered yoga during a challenging time while recovering from a running injury. With my Occupational Therapist and fitness instructor background, I bring deep knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology to my yoga classes. What I cherish most about yoga is not just the physical practice, but the mental clarity and space it creates for my students.

I'm passionate about teaching Power Yoga classes where we can have fun while challenging ourselves, and I'm equally enthusiastic about being a student and exploring various yoga styles. When I'm not on my mat, you'll find me cheering on my husband and two boys at various sports fields, or enjoying outdoor adventures with my 85-pound furry companion, Hank!

Megan Pooler

My journey with yoga began in college, where I enrolled in a semester-long yoga class and discovered its relaxing benefits. As an adult, I found a local studio and experienced the transformative power of yoga during my first pregnancy and Mommy and Me classes thereafter. When my studio offered certification in Color Me Yoga for children, I saw an opportunity to share these benefits with others.

With my background in early childhood education and years of experience as a preschool teacher before starting my own family, I recognized my ability to make a meaningful impact. Despite enjoying my role as a stay-at-home mom, I missed teaching and decided to merge my passions. For the past 13 years, I've been dedicated to teaching children's yoga in various settings, including childcare centers, park programs, preschools, and summer camps.

Now that my children are older, I've returned to part-time preschool teaching at a local nature preschool. My greatest joy lies in helping children discover their own inner light through the practice of yoga.

I'm excited to be teaching Family yoga, where I can combine my passion for yoga with my love for working with children and families.
